A 200-year-old fragrant olive (Osmanthus fragrans) putting down its root on the premises of the ex- Fujiya Inn, located in Beppu city in Oita prefecture and registered as a national tangible cultural property. It is an art work portraying the appearance of the flowers of an old tree bearing many moons on canvas. The bloom in full glory lasts only for one week from the end of September to the beginning of October every year.
